Matt is an Australian born, third-generation director of photography with over 20 years of experience in the camera department. He specialises in feature films and TV series, working with studios including Warner Bros, Disney, Universal Pictures and Marvel. 

He started his film career at the age of 18 working with a number of well-regarded productions based in Australia, before moving to the UK in 2008 . He has continued to progress quickly, initially beginning as a focus puller moving up the ranks to camera operator, working on films including The Matrix Sequels, Fool’s Gold, Peter Pan, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Fast & Furious 9 and Justice League, to name a few. 

In 2019, Matt was given the opportunity by Don Burgess to shoot the splinter unit for 'The Witches' (Warner Bros), directed by Robert Zemeckis and Kevin Baillie. He has since worked with a number of world-renowned, award-winning directors and producers as second unit and splinter unit director of photography, for feature films and TV series such as 'Pennyworth' (HBO Max), 'Pinocchio' (Disney Studios) and 'Secret Invasion' (Marvel Studios) with award winning stunt director Rob Inch.

Most recently, Matt shot the splinter unit of Fast X (Universal Pictures) directed by Louis Leterrier, starring actors including Vin Diesel, Jason Mamoa and Charlize Theron. 

Matt lives in London and is represented by the Worldwide Production Agency (WPA).
